Truckers around the world are creating their own convoys to protest COVID-19 vaccine mandates after being inspired by the Canadian Freedom Convoy, which reportedly has thousands of trucks.
Freedom Convoy 2022, the group that organized the Canadian trucker protest, reported initially having 1,600 trucks. The convoy, which now has nearly 50,000 trucks, will be in Ottowa by Saturday with the goal of getting “the government of Canada to repeal its cross border Covid tracking passport / phone app and ALL Covid-19 vaccine mandates,” according to a press release.
The Canadian convoy has reportedly been joined by some American truckers and in Ontario, farmers came in tractors to show support. Both the United States and Canada mandate cross-border truckers to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

The move comes days after Hipgnosis, which has spent the last year snapping up music catalogs left and right, announced it had acquired 100% of Lindsey Buckingham’s publishings rights as well as Jimmy Iovine’s producing royalties.
An intellectual integrity disclaimer: Without looking at Neil Young’s actual contract with Hipghosis Songs, we cannot determine his exact financial relationship with Hipgnosis—and to which extent he does or does not financially benefit from the successes of the investment fund. Also the benefits could be intangible, as in, they now own 100% of publishing rights for half of his catalogue, and they could be including him in whatever promotional efforts they do, which would benefit the sales of his entire catalogue, not just their half. All we honestly know is that he has a commercial relationship with them.

Yahoo! Finance does not seem to list the institutional holders for Hipgnosis Songs Fund Limited (they only list their mutual fund investors)—but Wikipedia to rescue!
In October 2021 The Blackstone Group, an alternative investment management company, announced that it would partner with Mercuriadis to invest $1bn US to acquire song catalogues and music rights. It also announced that Blackstone would take an ownership stake in Hipgnosis Song Management.

I would like to add that to be fair to reality, Spotify is no beacon of freedom. In terms of how they treat artists, they are more or less satan, and if you look at who owns them, you’ll see all the familiar faces. So, this is all rather cynical.
By the way, for the sake of philosophical honesty, I believe that human beings are pretty temptable, and having a financial interest in a corrupt entity does change one’s sincere emotional bias. When in hospital, he developed a new painful ulcerative lesion on his right hand. Skin ulcer edge biopsy showed severe epidermal neutrophilic infiltrate with epidermal and dermal edema, underlying superficial dermal necrosis, and characteristic undermining with extensive mixed inflammatory infiltration of the dermis and abscess formation consistent with an ulcer with mixed dermal inflammation compatible with pyoderma gangrenosum. The lesion showed rapid improvement after the initiation of immunosuppressive therapy. OTTAWA (LifeSiteNews) – Despite Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s dismissive statements about the “Freedom Convoy” flooding the nation’s capital right now, the protest may be on track to be the largest convoy in world history.
With miles upon miles of trucks and their supporters now arriving in Ottawa, from the north, south, east, and west, it is clear that Trudeau was wrong to imply that those opposed to the coercive COVID mandates are merely a “fringe minority” with “unacceptable views.”
While the true number of protestors is currently unknown, organizers and supporters have estimated that as many as 50,000 trucks may be arriving in the capital this weekend, with videos from last night already showing a firework-laden sky as trucks formed a gridlock in Ottawa’s downtown core.
The remainder of the convoys are expected to arrive in Ottawa by this afternoon, with some estimates putting the total number of protestors, including truckers and their supporters, at over half a million.

Former TV host Andrew O’Keefe has been charged after allegedly grabbing a woman’s throat before kicking and punching her in Sydney’s CBD.
Mr O’Keefe, 50, was arrested about 4.30am on Thursday after police were notified about the alleged incident, which took place on Tuesday afternoon.
NSW Police said the former White Ribbon ambassador met with a 38-year-old woman at his Kent Street apartment about 1.40pm on January 25 when an altercation broke out.
“A verbal argument ensued between the pair, before the man allegedly assaulted the woman — grabbing her by the throat, pushing her to the ground and punching her,” a police statement read.
“The man allegedly assaulted the woman a second time — punching and kicking her — before she left the unit.”
Mr O’Keefe was taken to Day Street Police Station, where he was charged with two counts of choking a person, three counts of common assault and one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
When a police vehicle drove Mr O’Keefe from the station just after 4:00pm, he could be heard screaming and thumping the side of the van.
The former long-time Channel Seven presenter was chair of domestic violence charity the White Ribbon Foundation when it was established in 2007.
Mr O’Keefe is no longer an ambassador for the charity, which was relaunched after going into liquidation in 2019.
In 2008, Mr O’Keefe was appointed to the inaugural meeting of national council to Reduce Violence against Women and Children, an initiative of the Rudd government.
Mr O’Keefe is best known for hosting television game shows.
