African children forced to eat worms and termites as part of UK gov’t-backed experiment
Poor African kids are the subject of an experiment to determine whether regular bug consumption can improve their nutrition, without consideration of potential “inflammatory” effects from insects.
(LifeSiteNews) — The UK government is funding an experiment to assess the effect of eating “insect-based porridge foods” on the nutritional status of children in Zimbabwe, a practice being pushed by environmentalists as a “sustainable” diet choice.
The United Kingdom Research and Innovation (UKRI)-backed project is feeding poor elementary school children mopane worms and soldier termite flour on a daily basis for a year. The study will examine the effects of the insect supplementation on the children’s height, weight, and micronutrient status, as well as their cognitive function, as determined by their school performance.
he project summary notes that the insect foods are “culturally acceptable” in the African region, since soldier termite and mopane worm powders have been traditionally used by some Zimbabwean rural communities to avoid malnutrition during drought and poor harvests.
The experimental nature of the study is underscored by the project description’s statement that “the mechanistic link between insect consumption and health is missing,” despite its assertion that edible insects are “a valuable source of nutrients including essential amino acids, mineral content and essential fatty acids.”
The project description does not mention any potential negative health effects of regular insect consumption, which have been warned against by Dr. Joseph Mercola. He has pointed out that insects contain chitin, which, according to studies, is a “highly inflammatory and allergy-inducing compound.”
For example, University of California San Francisco scientists have found that chitin “triggers an allergic inflammatory response in the lungs of mice,” and are even researching whether some people are “more prone to asthma because they are less able to control their exposure to inhaled chitin.”
Their research raises the question of whether the UK government and all involved in the Zimbabwe experiment are aware that scientists are investigating the “hypothesis” “that chitin causes inflammation and allergy.”
Other safety concerns regarding insect consumption are raised by a study published in 2019, which found parasites in 81 percent of examined insect farms. In 30 percent of those cases (91), the parasites “were potentially pathogenic for humans.” The study called edible insects “an underestimated reservoir of human and animal parasites.”

DHS approves waiver to deliver gas to Puerto Rico
The Department of Homeland Security on Wednesday approved a temporary waiver of the Jones Act, which requires maritime cargo transport between U.S. ports to occur only on U.S. flagged vessels, in order to provide immediate aid to hurricane-stricken Puerto Rico.
“In response to urgent and immediate needs of the Puerto Rican people in the aftermath of Hurricane Fiona, I have approved a temporary and targeted Jones Act waiver to ensure that the people of Puerto Rican have sufficient diesel to run generators needed for electricity and the functioning critical facilities as they recover from Hurricane Fiona,” said Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas in a statement.
The U.S. territory’s Gov. Pedro Pierluisi had asked the Biden administration in a letter Tuesday to waive the Jones Act, citing concerns that the Jones Act would delay transports to address the island’s desperate need for diesel and other fuel products.
Mayorkas said Wednesday that the decision to approve the limited waiver was based on input from Pierluisi and made in consultation with the Transportation, Energy and Defense departments.
The controversial Jones Act has been waived during previous hurricanes. The new waiver comes more than a week after Hurricane Fiona made landfall in the territory.

Police say that 25-year-old Johnny Deven Young, of Anaheim, Calif., was wanted on a warrant for multiple felony assaults and hate crime enhancements in connection with a series of violent attacks targeting unsuspecting women in Orange County.
He was arrested in San Mateo County and then transported back to Orange County, where he appeared in court on Monday.
The attacks took place between November 2021 and April 2022 outside bars in Costa Mesa, investigators said.
Young is a self-proclaimed “incel” — or involuntary celibate — a member of an online community of men who exhibit their sexual frustrations by voicing their misogynistic views against women, according to authorities.
He was identified by Costa Mesa police as a suspect in two attacks involving four women and a man who tried to stop one of the assaults.
Treasonous Trudeau government allows Bio Terrorist China to open police stations in Canada to monitor Chinese nationals
On September 12, human rights watchdog Safeguard Defenders published their latest report on the phenomenon of Chinese transnational policing.
The group revealed that over the past year, China had set up dozens of overseas “service stations” in order to police Chinese nationals living abroad, including three such facilities in Toronto.
On September 2, a new law was passed in China giving the government more authority when it comes to handling online fraud committed by Chinese citizens overseas. It is set to come into effect on December 1.
One way the government keeps tabs on citizens in other countries is via the aforementioned “service stations,” which are operated by either the Fuzhou or Qingtian Public Security Bureaus.
According to the report, as of September 2022, there are fifty-four such stations located in thirty countries.
While most nations have only one or two stations, Canada is unique in that it has three, all located in Toronto.
According to the National Post, the locations of Toronto’s stations render them nearly invisible to the public. One is listed as a private home, the second a largely Chinese mall, and the third in the office of a Chinese non-profit.
China has defended the practice of setting up what are essentially police stations in other countries, saying that the majority of the work done there is akin to what would take place at an embassy, however not many are convinced, given the regime’s record.
Safeguard Defenders pointed out in their report that while China’s actions were taken under the guise of fighting crime, in some cases citizens living overseas who had not been charged with anything were harassed, and eventually “persuaded” to return to China.
Charles Burton, who formerly served as a diplomat at the Canadian Embassy in Beijing, warned that China was “extending the grip of its Orwellian police state into this country,” and slammed Canada’s national security agencies for their lack of action.

As Sea Power Magazine reported on June 14th, of this year, the US Navy’s 6th Fleet Task Force 68 was running underwater explosives removal drills in the exact area where these sabotage explosions took place. The cover story was that the US Navy needed to conduct “mine hunting experiments” using unmanned underwater drones. From the article:
In support of BALTOPS, U.S. Navy 6th Fleet partnered with U.S. Navy research and warfare centers to bring the latest advancements in unmanned underwater vehicle mine hunting technology to the Baltic Sea to demonstrate the vehicle’s effectiveness in operational scenarios.
Experimentation was conducted off the coast of Bornholm, Denmark, with participants from Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific, Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport, and Mine Warfare Readiness and Effectiveness Measuring all under the direction of U.S. 6th Fleet Task Force 68.
This year experimentation was focused on UUV navigation, teaming operations, and improvements in acoustic communications all while collecting critical environmental data sets to advance the automatic target recognition algorithms for mine detection.
So the ruthless Biden regime publicly threatens to take down the Nord Stream pipelines by any means necessary, then a US Navy fleet task force shows up in the Bornholm area of the Baltic Sea with undersea demolitions experts, and then a couple of months later the Nord Stream pipeline gets blown to pieces, right in the Bornholm area of the Baltic Sea, putting European industry on course for collapse while shoring up western dominance of US industry and dollar currency.
Hmmm…
No wonder the US deep state intelligence services are desperately trying to point the finger at Russia for all this, even though Russia has zero financial incentive to destroy their own pipeline, given that this pipeline is their golden goose for billions of dollars in revenue if Germany were to reject NATO’s stranglehold and make peace with Russia.
Now, instead, there is no possibility of Germany receiving Russian gas for the foreseeable future. That option has been removed from the table thanks to this brazen act of terrorism and sabotage.
Is America’s ruthless regime at war with Europe?
It increasingly appears that the United States of America, currently occupied by an illegitimate, criminal cartel that seized power with the stolen 2020 elections, is at war with Europe. The Nord Stream pipeline sabotage means there won’t be natural gas for Germany this winter, and it points to the near certainty that chemical conglomerate BASF will be forced to shut down operations, most likely before the end of this year.
What very few people realize is that if BASF shuts down, Europe’s industrial sector will collapse.
BASF provides the vast majority of the industrial chemicals needed for fertilizer, oil refining, aerospace, automobile manufacturing, textiles, consumer products, medical supplies and medications, plastics and resins, and much more. Without BASF, European industry cannot function, and without natural gas, BASF cannot function.
As I pointed out in a previous article, BASF’s own spokespeople say they aren’t even sure if BASF chemical plants can ever be restarted if they are shut down, since they’ve never ceased operations since the 1960s:
The situation is so dire that Germany chemical giant BASF — formerly part of the Nazi-run IG Farben chemical conglomerate that carried out war crimes against humanity — is now threatening to shut down operations for industrial plants that have run continuously since the 1960s. As explained by author Philip Oltermann in a UK Guardian article entitled, “How gas rationing at Germany’s BASF plant could plunge Europe into crisis,” BASF is close to shutting down its massive chemical facilities in Germany due to a lack of natural gas. But shutting down production might be permanent, since no one knows if the plants can ever resume operations after a shutdown, since the very act of shutting the system down may break it.
Consider this March, 2022 Reuters article, “BASF says it would stop output if gas supplies fell to half its needs.” That article explains:
Germany’s BASF (BASFn.DE) said on Wednesday it would have to stop production if natural gas supplies fell to less than half its needs, as the world’s largest chemicals group warned of the damage to its operations from Europe’s power crunch.
The destruction of Nord Stream 1 and 2 now guarantees that BASF will be forced offline. This means European industry is over. And that means European banks are going to face widespread insolvency. The very existence of the Euro currency — and the EU itself — is now in question.
By blowing up Nord Stream, the USA has managed to set events into motion that will collapse Western Europe as we know it, transforming a First World continent into a Third World hellhole of starvation, destitution, unemployment and industrial annihilation.
This outcome has already been set in motion and cannot be stopped, since the Nord Stream pipelines cannot be repaired for months or years (there are no official estimates of repair times that have yet been made public, but the situation looks dire). Now, Germany and many other European nations will be forced to buy more high-priced LNG from US exporters, which just happens to shift billions in profits from Russia’s Gazprom to US-based LNG exporters.

FDR Praised Mussolini And Loved Fascism
History is brandished like an AR-15 by the American left when it appears to fit their narrow worldview, but shunned when it turns out to be less flexible than the talking points Barack Obama gives to Chris Matthews to cause that presidential “tingle.”
To be fair, many leftists have begun to feel the need to add a little spice to their routine spewing of the Hitler label, so a new favorite zinger has emerged: “Fascism” is the new debate-ending slur of choice employed by fashionable pseudo-historians everywhere.
Unfortunately for the left, it turns out that Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) and other key Democrats were actually fans of Adolf Hitler and his Italian fascist copycat Benito Mussolini. If that isn’t the pot calling the kettle…(well, you know).
Yes, it’s true. The architect of the modern left and the patriarch of neo-liberalism admitted to drawing considerable inspiration from the fascist uprisings led by both Hitler and Mussolini prior to the outbreak of WWII (when admission of Nazi sentiments became hazardous to one’s health.)
Even Joseph P. Kennedy and Prescott Bush were waist-deep in cash derived from shaking the bloody hand of Hitler, a fact these self-appointed ruling families continue to whisk away from public view at crucial moments of political determination.
FDR and his foremost cheerleaders at the time specifically espoused open support for the efficiency of Mussolini and Hitler, and welcomed fascism (minus the war) at home.
Roosevelt himself once called Mussolini “admirable,” adding that he was “deeply impressed by what he has accomplished.” Mussolini returned the compliment with adulatory praise, writing of Roosevelt’s many reforms, “Reminiscent of Fascism is the principle that the state no longer leaves the economy to its own devices … Without question, the mood accompanying this sea change resembles that of Fascism.”
Leftists from academia, the media, and Roosevelt’s own administration were among those rallying around a brownshirt pipedream.
FDR adviser Rexford Guy Tugwell said of Italian fascism: “It’s the cleanest, neatest, most efficiently operating piece of social machinery I’ve ever seen. It makes me envious,” adding that, “I find Italy doing many of the things which seem to me necessary … Mussolini certainly has the same people opposed to him as FDR has.”
NAACP co-founder W. E. B. DuBois viewed the Nazi rise positively, saying that Hitler’s dictatorship had been “absolutely necessary to get the state in order.” In 1937, DuBois stated: “there is today, in some respects, more democracy in Germany than there has been in years past.”
New Republic editor George Soule, who avidly supported FDR, noted approvingly that the Roosevelt administration was “trying out the economics of fascism.” Now, New Republic pages are full of outright defamation accusing Trump of being a fascist.
New York Times reporter Anne O’Hare McCormick wrote fawningly in the aftermath of Roosevelt’s inauguration that Washington, D.C., is “strangely reminiscent of Rome in the first weeks after the march of the Blackshirts, of Moscow at the beginning of the Five-Year Plan … America today literally asks for orders.” The Roosevelt administration, she added, “envisages a federation of industry, labor and government after the fashion of the corporative State as it exists in Italy.”
At the National Recovery Administration (NRA), which is a Roosevelt agency created under the New Deal, a report was published stating boldly, “The Fascist Principles are very similar to those we have been evolving here in America.”
A younger FDR even embraced a possible future where democracy would be abandoned and a personality cult installed in its place.
“They passed beyond the liberty of the individual to do as he pleased with his own property and found it necessary to check this liberty for the benefit of the freedom of the whole people,” Roosevelt said in a 1912 address to the People’s Forum of Troy, New York.
In fact, at his first inauguration address, Roosevelt practically adapted the verbiage of Europe’s ominous strong-men for the more ironic and irreverent American lexicon — but the anti-democratic substance is easy to identify all the same:
If we are to go forward, we must move as a trained and loyal army willing to sacrifice for the good of a common discipline. We are, I know, ready and willing to submit our lives and property to such discipline, because it makes possible a leadership which aims at a larger good. I assume unhesitatingly the leadership of this great army … I shall ask the Congress for the one remaining instrument to meet the crisis — broad executive power to wage a war against the emergency, as great as the power that would be given to me if we were in fact invaded by a foreign foe.
Words like this would work just as well in Nuremberg square.
Liberals are either delusional or willfully disingenuous when they conduct character assassinations of Republican standard-bearers based on flimsy comparisons to “Hitler.”
But it is infinitely better to be compared to a leftist caricature of Hitler than to vocally support the actual Hitler, as so many Democrats did when he was a living, breathing threat to humanity.
Where were TIME Magazine’s juvenile antics then? Ah yes, recognizing Adolf Hitler as “Person of the Year.”
